This magnificent listed, landmark building with its imposing stone fronted entrance way, period Victorian features and sweeping central staircase was built in 1872 and was once a summer residence of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. It first opened its doors as a hotel in 1877 and since then the hotel has continued with its aim of offering the best in North East hospitality.
